Why this book has value...
In John Green novel The fault in our stars we meet two characters with two different personalities that end up falling in love with each other in the heartwarming and heart wrenching story.
The story is in the perspective of a 17 year old girl named Hazel Grace Lancaster living in Indianapolis who has suffered from cancer and the complications of having the cancer. Hazel is a very shy boring character who is forced to go to this support group at church and she meets a boy named Augustus Waters, Augustus is a very lively character who is outspoken and was instantly drawn to Hazel from a quote in the book. "The guy was still staring at me. I felt rather blushy."
We continue the story when Hazel and Augustus become good friends and talk about everything in there life and the struggles of both the teens cancer, Augustus brought Hazel out of her shell and gave her the strength and happiness Hazel was looking for by taking her on adventures, confessing his love to her. Augustus hunts down Hazel favorite author Peter Van Houten to gather answers about the final conclusion of An imperial affliction but come to no avail when they meet Peter Van Houten and turns out to be a absolute nightmare to both Augustus and Hazel.
The way John Green wrote this book is brilliant and opens your eyes to many things in this world, about the struggle every individual faces, whether it be cancer, or depression it's still a struggle and there's someone or something to bring you out of that sadness and show the real you. I think a lot of people will enjoy this story and understand it in some way of personal nature.
I read the same book and I agree that everyone can find some way to relate to the book on a very personal level one way or another. I think that a big focus was love too, and that is an important and relevant thing for everyone to understand and keep in mind these days. There are so many quotes from the book about love and they truly do start right from the quote you mentioned in this post.
